Join in the FUN !!

The Heat is Yuma's year round, competitive swim team, and is a club member of USA Swimming (the national governing body for amateur swimming in the United States). Individuals 5 and over are invited to participate.

Tyler Bhirdo, Katelyn Weddle, and Myriah Frabasilio at the Speedo Champions Series (Sectional) in Federal Way, Washington. Katelyn (middle) swam an incredible 1:11.08 in the 100 Meter Breaststroke and earned a trip to the US Olympic Trials !!! Katelyn is also a 2006-2007 USA Swimming Scholastic All American !!!

2007-2008 Winter Season

What an outstanding winter season ...

3rd place at the Arizona Regional Championships,
12th in the Arizona Age Group Championships,
10th at the Arizona Senior Championships,
seven swimmers qualified for the Far Westerns,
three individuals at the Speedo Champions Series meet,
37 new team records,
and our first Olympic Trials qualifier !!!

We must be doing something right.
