Great Autumn !!!!

We have had an excellent fall. Carver, while not a great situation, is working out better than we hoped. Attendance has been good and the improvements spectacular ! You all deserve hearty congratulations … swimmers and parents alike.

Our next meet is in Goodyear later this month. It is a NTS (No Time Standard) meet, which means everyone can participate. If you are a newer swimmer, and unsure if this meet is right for you, talk with your coach. The meet Sign-Up form is attached and must be returned by Wednesday, November 12 to be entered into the meet.

Following the Goodyear meet is the Holiday Fest in Chandler December 4-7. Swimmers must meet specific time standards to enter this meet. A list of those eligible is posted on our Meets & Results page. Times may be achieved at Goodyear, but the meet sign-up form (attached) will be due MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, so you must act quickly if you qualify at Goodyear !!!

Our Seniors are swimming the High School State Championships this weekend in Tempe. The Psych Sheet (rankings going into the meet) is posted on our Meets & Results page and the results will be posted as soon as they are available.

Practice Variations for November

Holidays, pool availability, and swim meets will effect or normal practice schedule for the next two months ! The normal schedule for November is listed below. Marcus Pool is scheduled to be back on line December 1, and our December-March schedule will be posted next Monday. Here are the changes for November. All November practices are at Carver Pool.

Group Re-alignment

As our swimmers improve, and the distribution of our swimmers among the various groups change, we need to promote and adjust to order to create the best practice situations possible. The coaches will be meeting this week to make those modifications. Watch your e-mail Friday as some of the changes may begin as early as Monday, November 10 !!!

Swim Suits / Apparel

Team Suits and caps will be sold on deck during practice Tuesday, November 18. We will make sure that everyone that needs gear for the Goodyear meet is taken care of.

Meet Schedule:

Friday 4:30 PM Warm Up / 5:30 PM Start (10 & Under)

Saturday 7:30 AM Warm Up / 8:30 AM Start

Saturday 1 PM Warm Up / 2 PM Start

Sunday 7:30 AM Warm Up / 8:30 AM Start

This is a No Time Standard (NTS) meet and is open to all of our swimmers.
8 & Under events (50’s of each stroke & 100 IM) will swim Friday afternoon/evening.
10 & Under events are scheduled Saturday morning AND afternoon.
11-12’s, 13-14’s, and 15 & Overs will swim BOTH sessions Saturday, plus Sunday morning.
Meet Sign-Up form (attached) must be returned, with the entry fee, by Wednesday, November 12.

Holiday Fest / December 4-7

Chandler High School, Chandler
Swimmers must have achieved the meet qualifying standard in each event entered (swimmers with less than four events may swim one bonus event). Qualifying times are specific to this meet. The names (and events) that qualify short course can be found on our Meets & Results page. There ARE long course qualifying times and the 2007 times are also posted.
The Senior group will NOT be attending this meet.
