Some of this is repeated from the last News Splash, but read it again to be sure that you are up to date !

Excellent swimming in very poor conditions at the Chula Vista “BC” and the Holiday Fest ! MANY team records were broken and lots of life-time-best’s. Katelyn Weddle continues her winning ways, taking the top spot in the 50, 100, and 200 Breaststroke at the Holiday Fest. See the Swimmer’s Page for the record and best time updates. There will be a Mini Meet on December 22 for ALL GROUPS. Info is below.

Holiday Odyssey: Coach Curtis set up an Orange Group Mini-Camp December 22 through 23 … as in 7 AM Saturday through 7 AM Sunday !!! This is a first for the Heat and will be a special, yet very challenging, experience.

The Christmas Eve Senior practice will be a Triathlon ! Coach Andersen has the particulars. We need three adults (teams) to man the check points. Also, a couple of the swimmers may need to borrow a bike (mountain bike). Contact Coach Andersen if you can help out. 7:30 AM Warm Up / 8 AM Start. The race should last about 1 ½ hours and will be followed by breakfast at the Happy Chef.

From the Golf Tournament Committee … New committee members are needed to take the tournament planning to the next level. The group meets once each month, generally at the pool during practice. Sponsors are needed for the tournament. Please see the sponsor information on the Fundraising page of our website.

Audra Flores has been elected to the Board of Directors. Congratulations Audra !

The Christmas holidays are approaching fast ! The Holiday Practice Schedule is listed below … post it on your refrigerator !

Sweetheart Raffle

The winter fund raiser will be a raffle … Top prize $500, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Tickets will be $5 each. Sales will end February 8 and the drawing will be held on February 14 (Valentine’s Day … Sweetheart … get it). Tickets will be distributed as soon as this week !

The winter fundraising obligation is $200 ($300 with two children and $360 with three + children) and will appear on your next invoice.

This fund raiser is VERY important and we really NEED everyone to do a great job.

There will be an Early Bird Sellers’ Raffle on January 9. Those that turn in $200+ by January 9 will be eligible for this raffle. Swimmers will have one chance for every $200 they have turned in. Get rid of those tickets over break and get a chance at a great prize !!!
