Heat NTS Meet

Okay … Saturday was an adventure. Who’d a thunk it ? Sunny days in Yuma can be expected about 98.5% of the time ! It will be remembered.

Congratulations to all of our swimmer ! There were some very good swims and everyone pitched in to make this home meet run smoothly. Emily Gough (11-12 Girls 1000 Free), George Gould (13-14 Boys 1650 Free), and Jonathan Duran (15 & Over Boys 50 Free) set new team records ! Excellent.

The meet results can be viewed on our Meets & Results page.

Ron Corbin, the Meet Referee wanted to say …

Everyone’s hard work made it happen.  We had every base covered and it showed.  From Alison Keough arranging for the YPIC volunteers; Wow, that really made a huge difference.  And then, she worked the ticket booth and raised over $150 in raffle ticket sales.  Mark Keough did a great job as meet marshal.  The Edmondson’s were extremely helpful.  Katie officiating and Brad helping with the timing and set up and all of the little things was a significant help to the operation of the meet.  The Gould’s did a great job on the timing equipment.  The Osborn’s ran hospitality like pros and there help with set up and radios was greatly appreciated.  Audra Flores and her family were indispensible with the concession’s stand and helping with Hy-Tek.  Ray Mendoza and Ana Curiel did an outstanding job cooking.  That was some great food.  All of the officials did an outstanding job, Jose Curiel, Rick Frabasilio, John Paul Plante, Ron Corbin, Katie Edmondson, Sandra Corbin, Bill Mataya, and the folks from Prescott helped the meet keep going even in the rain.  Kelly Roberts and Tonya Gough, they were a huge help with running and awards.  Pat McBride for helping set up and letting us borrow his equipment.  Kevin Tunnel for announcing all three days:  Great Job.  Ray Duran did a great job as head timer.  Leigh Kaba’s help at the table was greatly appreciated.  We came together as a team.  Thank you all so much.  I know a few people helped out with the Clerk of the Course.  There wasn’t a time that we didn’t have several volunteers doing something to keep the meet going.

If I left someone out, please forgive me.

Thanks,

Ron Corbin

VP and Referee
