Important Stuff …

Practice Saturday, April 19 will be from 10 AM ‘til 12 Noon (the Boy Scouts have the pool in the early AM).

As many have undoubtedly noticed, the Red 2 Group has grown exponentially these past two weeks. We are aware of the situation and are delighted by the growth ! The Red 2’s will be split into a Red 1 and Red 2 group as soon as a qualified coach is hired … hopefully by Monday !

Tyler Bhirdo will be signing an athletic/academic grant with Grand Canyon University this week ! Grand Canyon, an NCAA Division II school in Phoenix, has recently added men’s swimming to their program and has begun construction on a new 50 meter aquatic facility. Congratulations Tyler !!

2008-2009 Team Membership fees are due ! These fees will not be automatically withdrawn from your accounts as are team fees. Those that were active in March will pay the renewal fee of $60 per swimmer, and those that were not will pay $95 per swimmer.

Our 2007-2008 fiscal year ended March 31. Those that have outstanding balances for their Fund Raising Obligation are asked to settle up. We REALLY don’t want to ask anyone to leave the program, but our budget requires everyone to pull their share of the load, and we REALLY want to start the 2008-2009 fiscal year with a clean slate. Thanks !

May 17^th the Heat will be hosting the Middle School Invitational. This meet is open to all middle school students and home-schoolers of middle school age. That includes our Heat swimmers ! Check with your P.E. teachers to find out if your school intends to participate. Alison Keough & Jenny Hieber are heading up this project. Help will be needed to run this meet … timers, concessions, timing equipment, computer, deck officials !!! Please keep this date open.

Middle School Clinics

April 26, May 3, and May 10
10 AM – 12 Noon
These clinics are intended to help interested middle school students learn the basics as they prepare for the Middle School Invitational on May 17. Our middle school swimmers are encouraged to talk-up the clinics to their classmates !

South Bay Aquatic “ABC”

This will be the first meet of the summer season.
This is a long course meet and is open to ALL swimmers.
Friday (12 & Un 400 Fr and 13 & Over 1500 Fr) 4 PM Warm Up / 5 PM Start

Saturday & Sunday 7:15 AM Warm Up / 9 AM Start (there may be an assigned warm up time … more later)
