I have now been in Yuma for three years !!! Some of the swimmers put together a little anniversary party for me on Saturday. I want to thank them and all of those that were there.

Swim-A-Thon 2007

The swim is done (for most) and now its time to collect your due ! The money due date is Tuesday, July 10. Coach Andersen will be out-of-town (Sectional Champs in Oregon) so the money should be turned in to Coach Curtis. More on the Swims in the next Splash …

Open Water Swim

Coach Curtis will run the Saturday, July 14 practice for the Orange and Senior swimmers at Mittry Lake. The plan is to hit the water at 7 AM. The swim will end around 8:30 AM.

To get to the lake … from town, take 95 North (16^th Street – headed east) to Laguna Dam Road. Turn left (north) on Laguna Dam. When the road becomes dirt, you have about 1 mile to go. The boat ramp will be pretty obvious when you see it. There will be parking on the right side of the road. Bring snacks and plenty to drink. Coach Curtis will have kayaks to support the swim, but will need a couple of volunteer paddlers … see Coach Curtis if you can help in this area.

Meet sign-up forms are available for the State Championships; and for the Season Finale. An updated eligibility list has been posted for the State meet. The meet flyers are also posted on our Meets & Results page.

You must book now. You can save 20%. The resort is minutes away from ASU.

Myriah Frabasilio and Katelyn Weddle will be swimming in the Sectional Championships in Gresham, Oregon next week … wish them well !

Break

The plan at this time is to take our end-of-summer break the week of August 6^th. Unless something MAJOR comes up, that is what we will do ! That means no practice August 6-12.
