2010 Sandsharks

In addition to our year-round USA Swimming program, the Heat sponsors a summer only recreational swim team, the Sandsharks. The Sandsharks participate in the Imperial Valley Swim League (IVSL), an organization of summer clubs in Yuma, Brawley, Calipatria, Holtville, El Centro, and Imperial.

The Sandsharks are a GREAT way to become involved in competitive swimming in Yuma. The swimmers will learn all the competitive strokes, stay in shape, and make new friends! What a great way to spend a summer!

Costs

The program fee is $130 per swimmer ($300 maximum per family) and includes IVSL membership/insurance and a Sandshark Team T-shirt. Team suits, cap, and goggles will be available through the team at a discounted price. Weekend invitationals and the IVSL Championship meet, which are optional, require an entry fee (generally $15 to $20).
