USA SWIMMING (Ages 5 and Up) Practice Groups

Download and print your Registration Forms today!

Our program is designed to take a swimmer from novice to elite. Starting with the Red 1 or Orange 1 Group, each subsequent level builds upon the last. Development in stroke mechanics, starts, turns, race strategy, training techniques, strength and conditioning all lead to a well rounded and successful Senior athlete. Our younger swimmers learn in a fun, active environment. As they grow, the joys of accomplishment, and the hard work associated with it, become a source of pride. In the end, the lessons taught in the pool are carried into life … a strong work ethic, dedication, focus, a healthy lifestyle, goal setting, and self-esteem. We offer a wonderful place, and a wonderful way, for a child to grow up.

SANDSHARK SUMMER SWIM TEAM
(4-18 years old)

In addition to our year-round USA Swim Team, the Heat runs a summer recreational swim team. The Sandsharks are members of the Imperial Valley Swim League (IVSL) which includes summer teams from Brawley, El Centro, Holtville, and Imperial. This eight to ten week program is a great introduction to competitive swimming. Competitions include weekday dual meets as well as weekend invitaionals. The IVSL hosts a championship meet at the season's end ... the Sandsharks won the IVSL Championship in 2004, 2006 and 2007 !. Additional information can be found on the Sandsharks page of this website.

MASTERS SWIMMING
(19 and Over)

The Masters program accommodates all levels of adult swimmers (fitness, tri-athlete, competitive, non-competitive) who want to improve their fitness through swimming. Athletes and coaches work together to set specific goals for each athlete. Swimming has continually been identified as the best way to exercise. Stress reduction, weight control, cardiovascular fitness, reduced cholesterol, muscle tone and endurance are all positively influenced by exercise. Masters swimmers swear by it.
